JavaScript error: malfunction on several pages

Following the latest product release on Wednesday 8am CEST on October 1st, a JavaScript error related to accessibility improvements caused malfunctions on several pages. Notably :
- The creation and editing of custom fields in Settings failed
- Some functions in the Invoice Production tools did not process correctly.
The error could be observed in the browser developer tools (F12), with console entries containing the keyword "accessibility".

Hotfixes were deployed to production:
- US : Thursday, October 2nd at 11:30 PM CEST
- EU and CH: Friday, October 3rd at 7:00 AM CEST

The root cause was a JavaScript error introduced with accessibility-related changes in the release.
